龍王鯛（曲紋唇魚），牠的最大體長可達229公分，體重約200公斤。早期在臺灣珊瑚礁海域常見，由於過度獵捕，目前十分罕見。經過潛水實地研究調查發現全臺數量不超過30尾。因此在2014年提報農委會將其列為保育類野生動物，禁止捕捉，期望未來能恢復族群數量。
The Napoleonfish has a maximum body length of 229 cm and weighs about 200 kg. It was common in the coral reefs of Taiwan in the early days, and is now rare due to overhunting. After diving field research and investigation, it was found that the number of the species across Taiwan was no more than 30. Therefore, in 2014, it was submitted to the Committee of Agriculture to be classified as an endangered wildlife. Its capture was prohibited, hoping to restore the population in the future.
