全球首例穩定單配位雙碳分子

雙原子碳(C2)為具有碳-碳鍵的最小雙原子分子,僅能在宇宙星際中觀察到它的存在,在自然界呈現不穩定的狀態。王朝諺研究員透過專業有機合成技術成功合成常溫下穩定的單配位基雙原子碳分子PR3→C2,成為全球首例。

Dicarbon C2 is a highly reactive species that exists in the interstellar atmosphere, which has eluded from experimental studies. Dr. Tiow-Gan Ong successfully presented the first straightforward way to isolate a stable C2 molecule at ambient temperature as a PR3→C2 using his special custom-made bulky phosphine ligand. The work was published in Nature Chemistry in 2021.
