Ghost crabs hide in sand burrows during the daytime and come out to feed at night. They are fast runners and their speed can go up to 14 mph, faster than our general running speed. Our research discovered the biodiversity of ghost crabs in the Indo-Pacific originated from the outlying island countries including Madagascar, Fiji, and the Philippines.
