光的城市脈動

本研究利用光纖地震儀高解析探測地震與山崩滑動帶的滑移機制。分散式光纖感測技術能將光纖傳換成連續的地震接收器陣列,紀錄精細的地振動波場。縱軸代表中華電信自二重埔到林口的光纖纜線距離(公里),橫軸為時間(秒)。在中間100秒處為地震波訊號,斜向訊號為車輛活動訊號。

This result conducts high-resolution probing of earthquake and landquake slip zone processes with fiber-optic sensing. The fiber-optic sensing technique can turn a fiber cable into a linear dense array of seismic sensors, providing delicate vibration wave fields. The red and blue indicate the compression and stretching shaking along the cable. The Y-axis represents the length (km) of a ChungHwa Telecom cable running from Erchongpu to Linkou, along the Tailin road. The X-axis indicates the time (sec). The signals around 100 sec are ground shaking from an earthquake. Several other oblique signals are caused by vehicles on the road. (Acknowledgement to Earth Structure Laboratory and ChungHwa Telecom)
